To the lighthouse and back

At last I can tell you about our trip to the Central Coast.

We were lucky to have the beach to ourselves and just look at the waves!

I tried to follow Dad into the surf but it was a bit daunting. I’m not bad on the boogie board though (more on that another time).

Checking out the surf

Sinking in the sand

After scrambling over sand dunes and chasing waves, we didn't mind a bit of time chilling back at base. The campsite said it welcomes dogs but they weren't all that welcoming because they insisted we had to be on a leash. At least they didn’t specify the length of the rope. We were too pooped to run around in any case.

What's this leash nonsense?

At the end of my tether

When we packed up to leave we found this little rat hiding underneath the tent. He ran towards Mum and then tried to stow away in the car! He might be someone’s pet who got lost. Mum set him free in the bushes to find a new home.

Good luck little friend!
Hiding in the car wheel

It’s too cold for camping now (according to Mum) so we’re mooching around at home and waiting for spring.

Remind me to tell you about my surfing lesson next time…

  1. What a beautiful place to go camping, that beach looks glorious. We love your personalised little tents too!
That is definitely a pet rat, you can tell by his colours and also no way a wild rat would ever come near humans. I hope someone takes him home with them.
