Summer means sunscreen

I have a pink nose. Well, not all of it, but there’s a little bit that burns easily and gets sore. I love the sun, so this is the price I have to pay – a white blob on my nose. I always try to lick it off straightaway.

Sometimes my nose blisters and peels and then we use Snout Soother. Does that make me high maintenance?

I was enjoying the sunshine…

but today it's drizzling. 

I came home from the walk with dirt sticking to my underbelly furs. If it wasn't so damp outside, I would probably have to have a bath!

We’re planning a new garden feature for summer, inspired by the Zen gardens of Kyoto. Mummy asked me to pose in front of this lantern on the balcony. We have a bigger lantern for the garden, which I’ll show you later.

We’ve been managing to keep up the walks by wearing a variety of coats. This one is for chilly mornings. I'm not sure about the fake-fur collar though.

Bushwalking Adventure

We had a fantastic long walk, exploring a new trail through the bush.

It certainly was wet though. In some places we were skidding through mud (Daddy called it “baby poo”). I led the gang to start with, turning around now and then to check everyone was keeping up – for a little dog I’m pretty fast. Charlie was better at jumping and scrambling over rocks though. When Daddy decided to climb up to the lookout, we both had to be hoisted up.

Of course we were covered in mud and sand, so we went straight in the bath when we got home – oh well, it was worth it.

Is it Spring already?

We’ve been revelling in the warm weather this weekend. Mummy has been studying outside and we’ve had a lot of sunshine. I managed to get a chair to myself J

Our neighbour gave Mummy this orchid - I checked it for bugs and it looks pretty healthy, not to mention it has lovely flowers. It certainly feels like Spring already.
